学校共有12个授予学位的学院和拉德克利夫高级研究所(Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study)。这12个学院分别是，Harvard College, Harvard Business School, Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Harvard Divinity School, Harvard Graduate School of Design, Harvard Graduate School of Education, Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard Law School, Harvard Medical School, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, 此外，还有Harvard Faculty of Arts and Sciences 和Harvard Division of Continuing Education，但是两个学院不授予学位。本科生只能申请Harvard College，申请时候不需要选择具体专业，仅需要选择专业领域，如Biological Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, Humanities, Mathmatics, Physical Sciences, Social Sciences。同时，学校允许用Undecided进行申请。此外，学校与新英格兰音乐学院和伯克利音乐学院有双学位项目。
